Four Defendants Sentenced for Meth Conspiracy in Stone, Taney Counties

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Preston L. Grubbs, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration St. Louis Division Office, and Todd P. Graves, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today that four co-defendants have been sentenced in federal court for participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in Stone and Taney counties.

Kelly R. Flow, 25, and Lisa R. Miller, 38, both of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, April D. Abbott, 37, of Hollister, Missouri, and Tracy L. Morrison, 37, address unknown, were sentenced in separate hearings before United States District Judge Gary A. Fenner on Wednesday. Flow was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison without parole. Miller was sentenced to eight years and four months in federal prison without parole. Abbott was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison without parole. Morrison was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in federal prison without parole.

Each of the co-defendants pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine from June 2003 to October 17, 2004. A fifth co-defendant, Philip D. Myers, 33, address unknown, plead guilty on July 15, 2005, and awaits sentencing.

Flow, who pleaded guilty on July 13, 2005, admitted that she received crystal methamphetamine from a co-conspirator and distributed it in the Branson, Missouri, area. Flow also admitted that the amount of methamphetamine, including her relevant conduct, was more than 500 grams but less than 1.5 kilograms.

Miller, who pleaded guilty on July 14, 2005, admitted that she received crystal methamphetamine from a co-conspirator, then redistributing it to others.

Abbott, who pleaded guilty on July 12, 2005, admitted that she received crystal methamphetamine from Miller and another co-conspirator and distributed it in the Branson area.

Morrison pleaded guilty on October 19, 2005, to his role in the methamphetamine conspiracy.

This case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Kimberly R. Weber Dean. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and COMET (the Combined Ozarks Multijurisdictional Enforcement Team).
