In 1978, when the Supreme Court heard TVA v. Hill, there were only a few hundred species on the endangered species list, and not very much litigation, generally, on Endangered Species Act (ESA) issues.  Over the years, ESA litigation has increased, and the ESA has been the subject of several cases in the Supreme Court.  Click on the links below to learn more about some of the ESA Supreme Court decisions.
