(EFC) in August 1990 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Enron Gas Services Group (EGS) in January 1991, following the merger of EFC and Enron Gas Marketing. Prior to his appointment, Jeff was a Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company and was responsible for the Firm's Worldwide energy and North American chemical consulting practices. Before joining McKinsey in 1979, Jeff served as a corporate planning officer with First City National Bank of Houston and as an associate with M.J.H. Nightingale and Company, Ltd., an investment banking firm in London, England. He holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School, where he was elected a Baker Scholar. EGS is the newest of the five major business units of Enron Corp. Its mission is to provide a full range of non-regulated merchant services to natural gas producers and consumers. The group is comprised of four operating companies: Enron Gas Marketing - one of the largest natural gas marketing companies in the U.S., EGM offers a full range of physical molecule transaction, transportation, and contracting services across the entire North American continent. The company is a major player in the spot market and is a leader in creating innovative long-term service packages including term index sales and fixed priced, warranted delivery contract structures (marketed under the Gas Bank trademark). Enron Finance Corp.. - a recently formed entity offering producer financing services including production lending, non-recourse project finance, acquisition financing, and a range of reserve acquisition and reserve trading activities. The company is geared toward supporting the needs +~ of the independent producer sector. Enron Risk Management Services Corp. - created to bring together the price and volume risk management activities being carried out in a number of Enron businesses. The company provides a full slate of price hedging instruments including natural gas swaps, price options and insurance, and custom designed short- and long-term price hedges. Enron wer Services, Inc. - a company dedicated to providing both physical delivery and financial price hedging services to the power industry.
