Forms of Identification for eRegistry


In order to complete the registration process and activate your eRegistry account, please present one of the following forms of identification to an immigration court or the Board of Immigration Appeals during hours posted for identity verification:

  • U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card (Example)
  • Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551) (Example)
  • Employment Authorization Document (Card) that contains a photograph and date of birth (Form I-766) (Example)
  • Driver's license or identification (ID) card issued by a state or outlying possession of the U.S. provided it contains a photograph and date of birth (Example)
  • U.S. Military ID card or draft record (if it contains a photograph and date of birth on the ID) (Example)
  • Military Dependent's ID card (if it contains a photograph and date of birth of dependent on the ID) (Example)

EOIR staff will verify the applicants’ identity and activate their accounts.
