The El Centro Immigration Court falls under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Chief Immigration Judge which is a component of the Executive Office for Immigration Review under the Department of Justice.

Our court has made a commitment to provide access to information through the Internet in order to service the needs of the public.

Our goal is to provide the most current and accurate information available to those needing to appear before an Immigration Judge and to provide this information in a user-friendly fashion.

Please note: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) are separate organizations.

Court Operating Hours:
Monday through Thursday:  7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday:  7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The El Centro Immigration Court is located within a Detention Center operated by the Department of Homeland Security, and has the primary responsibility for the hearing of detained cases within the Court's operating area of responsibility. Entrance into the Court area requires passing through DHS security, including walking through a metal detector. Parking availability at the Detention Center is extremely limited.

Directions

Driving from the South:

1. Exit Interstate 8 and proceed North on Imperial Avenue
2. Continue on Imperial Avenue, crossing Adams Avenue (traffic light) and then the railroad tracks
3. Turn right into parking lot at Detention Center

Driving from the North:

1. Turn South on Highway 86 at the town of Brawley, CA
2. Proceed South approximately 16 miles on Highway 86, entering the city limits of Imperial, CA
3. Continue on Highway 86 (Imperial Avenue), crossing Pico Road
4. Turn left into parking lot at Detention Center

Imperial County Airport:

The Imperial County Airport (Airport Code: IPL) provides commuter airline access to and from the Los Angeles International Airport (Airport Code: LAX)

1. Upon departing the airport, turn right on Imperial Avenue (Highway 86)
2. Continue on Imperial Avenue, crossing Pico Road
3. Turn left into parking lot at Detention Center

Note: The El Centro Court is located inside the DHS El Centro Detention Center. Entrance into the Court area requires passing through DHS security, including walking through a metal detector. Parking availability at the Detention Center is extremely limited.
