Instructions for First Time Visitors
- Look for your name and A number on the calendars posted on the bulletin boards on the 15th floor.
- When you find your name, look at the sign above it and you will find the judge's name, courtroom letter and the floor on which the courtroom is located.
- Take the elevators to the assigned floor. Take the elevator down to the 14th floor and up to the 16th, 17thand 18th floors.
- When you arrive on the 14th, 16th, 17th or 18th floors, you will need to go through a security checkpoint. Please stand in line and proceed through the metal detector, one person at a time. Be prepared to open all purses, bags and briefcases for inspection by the security officer.
- No food or drinks, including coffee, are allowed past the security officers on the 14th, 16th, 17th and 18th floors. Bottled water, baby bottles and infant snacks are permitted. All telephones and pagers must be turned off or completely silenced and may not be used in the courtrooms, court hallways or the elevator lobbies of the courtroom floors.
- When you find the right courtroom, open the door, go in and give your name to the court clerk seated at the desk with the computer.
- Sit down in the courtroom and wait for your name to be called.
