Following are directions to the Immigration Court - Newark, New Jersey. For your convenience, we have also provided a link to a free mapping service.
Directions from the South Via New Jersey Turnpike:
Take Turnpike North to Exit 13A. Follow signs for Route 1& 9 North. Continue on Route 1& 9 North past the airport. Follow the sign for Route 21 North Newark. Go over bridge. Make a left at the second light onto Broad Street.
Directions from the North Via New Jersey Turnpike:
Take Exit 14. Follow signs for Route 21 Newark. Go over bridge. Make a left at the second light onto Broad Street.
Following are directions to the Riverfront State

Directions from North Via NJ Turnpike:
Take Turnpike South to Exit 4. After exiting, follow Route 73 North to Route 38 West Exit. Proceed on Route 38 West for approximately 3-6 miles and take Exit for Route 30 West (Admiral Wilson Blvd.) following signs for Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Exit off Route 30 West at the Linden Street exit (last exit before bridge). Take right off Linden onto 7th Street (last traffic light before bridge). Proceed to next traffic light and take left onto Elm Street. Continue on Elm to the prison. Vehicles may be parked in the institutional parking lot across the street from the prison.
Directions from North Via Route 295:
Take Route 295 South to Moorestown Exit (40) onto Route 38 West. Proceed on Route 38 West for approximately 3-6 miles and take exit for Route 30 West (Admiral Wilson Blvd.) following signs for Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Exit off Route 30 West at the Linden Street exit (last exit before bridge). Take right off Linden onto 7th Street (last traffic light before bridge. Proceed to next traffic light and make left on Elm Street. Continue on elm to the prison. Vehicles may be parked in the institutional parking lot across the street from the prison.
Directions from Philadelphia Via Benjamin Franklin Bridge:
Take first toll booth on the right and make a sharp right which puts you on Penn Street. Go down to the end of Penn Street (make a right) Rutgers University is in front of you. Go straight down, bear left. At the third Stop Sign, make a right. At the corner is a Father & Son. s Store, make a left. Riverfront is straight ahead. Park in the institutional parking lot across the street from the prison.

Directions from the New Jersey Turnpike:
Take Exit 14. Take second right marked Service Road after Toll Booth. Follow signs to prison. From Garden State Parkway Driving from the South of Newark Airport, take Exit 142 and follow the directions for Routes 24 & I-78 to Service Road.
Directions from the North of Newark Airport:
Take Exit 140A to Route 22 East and follow directions from 22
East. From Route 22 to 1 & 9 North Follow Routes 1 & 9 North Local to
Blue Sign marked Service Road. Follow Service Road to Yield, you will see the
Holiday Inn on your left. Turn left and follow road to Northern State Prison.
Entering the Court Building
All persons entering the Building must pass through a metal detector. All packages, briefcases, etc. will be x-rayed. No cameras or video equipment is allowed in the building. The building is a smoke-free facility.
Individuals wishing to attend hearings at Riverfront and Northern State Prisons must contact the prison prior to arrival to ensure access.
