Visitor Information
The Oakdale Immigration Court is located on the grounds of the Bureau of Prisons Federal Correctional Complex in Oakdale, Louisiana. Oakdale is 45 miles south of Alexandria and 60 miles north of Lake Charles.
Detainees are housed at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), 5010 East Whatley Road, the Federal Detention Center (FDC), 5060 East Whatley Road, and several parish jails within the state of Louisiana.
The court's business hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The morning court sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. and the afternoon sessions begin at 1:00 p.m.

Mail Procedures
Federal Express "does not" make morning (a.m.) deliveries to the court. Federal Express deliveries are made between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.
