Security

Security for the Immigration Court, San Juan, Puerto Rico is derived from one Security Guard stationed within the waiting area of the court There officer Sollivan processes visitors through magnetomer and searches bags, handbags, packages, briefcases communication devices are turned off, i.e., cellular phones, beepers etc. Visitors are also asked to sign an In & Out Roster. On the first floor there are two (2) additional guards who process all visitors to the court and sister agencies located at San Patricio Office Center. These guards ensure that all visitors go through the magnetomer and hand search all bags, purses, packages, briefcases etc., they also ensure that all visitors are given an ID card of a certain color which indicates the agency they will be visiting. The color designated to the court is the color green, therefore this person will be immediately identified with having business with the court and should not be in other areas. The other agencies are aware of the color code so that if a visitor is "lost" he/she can be redirected.
This proved to be very helpful as we total six (6) different agencies housed at San Patricio Office Center with over 900 Federal Employees.
Smoking is not permitted within the building area.
