
Bond Hearing Information

CHECKLIST FOR BOND HEARING REQUESTS
FOR CASES NOT ON CALENDAR
- Cases where DHS has not yet served a charging document on the court, the following must be
included in the written motion for a bond hearing:
- A statement where the DHS is currently detaining the alien.
- A copy of the charging document.
- A copy of the most recent bond conditions set by DHS.
- Certificate of Service and EOIR-28.
- Cases where a decision on the underlying removal/deportation hearing has already been
rendered and is pending appeal at the Board of Immigration Appeals, the following must be
included in the written motion for a bond hearing:
- A statement where the DHS is currently detaining the alien.
- A copy of the charging document.
- A copy of the most recent bond conditions set by DHS.
- A copy of the decision or summary of oral decision in the underlying removal/deportation case.
- Certificate of Service and EOIR-28.
- Anytime a party requests a bond hearing for an alien detained in San Pedro, whose case is not
pending in our court, and the case does not fall into the above two categories, the party is to file a
written motion for a bond hearing and the Immigration Judge will issue a decision on that
request.
