Visitor Information

 

The San Pedro Immigration Court is located inside the Department of Homeland Security Detention Facility at 2001 Seaside Avenue, Room 136, San Pedro, CA 90731. For directions to the Immigration Court, click here.

The court hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. Fridays, excluding court-observed holidays. The Reception window is closed from 12:00 to 1:00 every day. (There is no public access into the facility during these hours.)

When visiting the Immigration Court, you must have a current driver's licence, California picture I.D., passport or Alien Registration Card to be shown to the guards, otherwise entry will be denied. Attorneys must also present their Bar Card in order to enter.

Please note that while visiting the courtroom, no verbal or physical contact with detainees will be allowed. Transactions of any kind between visitors and detainees are prohibited

Children under 16 years of age are not allowed into the Detention Facility.

At time of release, but no later than five days, an alien must submit a Motion to Change Venue to a Court closest to his place of residence as well as a Change of Address form EOIR-33.

Family can visit detainees on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Visiting hours are from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Attorneys can visit seven days a week during the same hours as posted above. Everyone entering the facility is subject to being searched.
