Footnotes:
** These figures represent official accounting transactions. They do not reflect
total forfeiture activity for any jurisdiction.
A: The "Other" line comprises deposits made to the Assets Forfeiture Fund (AFF) where a district has not been identified. Examples are U.S. Treasury Assets Forfeiture Fund Reimbursement for U.S. Attorney costs and Consolidated Assets Tracking Systems costs, GSA sales, INS mitigation payments, and AFF portions of BCCI distributions.
1: The negative balance is a result of a $7.1M refund to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
2: Net deposits for New York state (Eastern District of New York) were understated by $39.9 million due to accounting errors. Corrections are reflected in the numbers above and the FY 2002 AFF financial statements so that cumulative net deposits for FY 2002 are $453.1 million.
