Pagliarini, Jr.Director, Personnel Staff SUBJECT: HR Flexibilities Available to Employees Affected by Severe Weather Conditions or Other Emergency Situations The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has issued the attached memorandum as a timely reminder, particularly as we approach the "hurricane season." As in the past, Federal employees and the surrounding communities in which they work have experienced dangerous situations and extreme disruption in their lives as a result of natural disasters. It is important that each of us, as personnelists, become familiar with the various flexibilities that may be utilized to assist Federal employees who have been affected by these storms and/or other emergencies.
