The Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) Program was established by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to manage the implementation of a new financial and acquisition management system to improve the financial, budget and acquisition operations within the Department and its Components. The future efficiency of financial management at DOJ depends to a large extent on implementation of a single, Department-wide, standard accounting system.
The unification of DOJ financial and acquisition management systems represents a singular opportunity to develop true Department-wide business practices, standard processes and to implement a federally compliant core financial system. UFMS will provide DOJ with timely information available on demand, consolidated cross-Component financial and acquisitions information, and standardized reporting across all of the Components.

The MISSION of the UFMS Program is to implement a secure, integrated, and unified financial management system, supported by standard processes, to comply with applicable statutes and regulations.

The VISION of the UFMS Program is to improve the Department’s financial management performance by providing the Components with an enterprise-wide Financial Management System and standard processes that enable effective management of financial resources in support of the Department’s mission, objectives, and strategic goals.
