Marshal Randy Johnson was confirmed by the U. S. Senate on February 8, 2002, and was appointed by President Bush on February 14, 2002.

Randy Johnson has been with the U.S.M.S. in Alaska since February 1986. He was promoted to Supervisory Deputy in May 1989. Johnson began his Federal Law Enforcement career in Alaska as a Criminal Investigator with the General Services Administration in September 1984. Johnson was a patrol officer with the Iowa City Police Department, Iowa City, Iowa from May 1979 to February 1982. Johnson has a Bachelors of General Studies Degree from the University of Iowa.
