15, 2008 - Capture
of
15 Most Wanted Fugitive - Uniformed
officers from the Lavonia Police Department captured U.S. Marshals
'15 Most Wanted' fugitive, Johnny Mack Brown. Brown was captured in
a wooded area in Franklin County after being spotted as he walking
along railroad tracks in the area. Brown, who escaped Oct. 13
from Hays State Prison in Trion, GA, was added to the Marshals' Most
Wanted list on Halloween night.

31, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals announced today the addition of
Johnny Mack Brown, who escaped Oct.
13 from Hays State Prison in Trion, Ga., to the service’s 15 Most
Wanted fugitive list. Brown and fellow inmate, Michael Tweedel,
escaped by climbing atop a dormitory building to avoid an interior
fence and scaling two perimeter fences and eight strands of razor
wire. Brown was serving a life sentence plus 70 years for the 1997
shooting of an armored-car guard.

October 24, 2008
- On October 13, 2008 inmates
Johnny Mack Brown (52) and
Michael Tweedel (48) escaped from Hays State Prison in Trion, GA by scaling
the perimeter fence.
Johnny Mack Brown was serving a life plus 70 year sentence and Michael
Tweedel was serving a 20 year sentence. Investigators believe that Brown and Tweedel
are currently still in the area but may attempt to flee the country
via either the Canadian or Mexican boarders.

21, 2008 -
Addition of 15 Most Wanted Fugitive - David Lee Green reputedly
used a stun gun on his children and an iron fist with his narcotics
distribution ring. Today, this violent drug kingpin and escaped
federal prisoner scored a spot on the United States Marshals famed
“15 Most Wanted" fugitives list. “Daddy Dave” Green is wanted
for his June 19, 2000, escape from the Federal Correctional Institution
in Elkton, Ohio, where he was serving a 235-month sentence for cocaine
distribution.

July 01,
2008 - Investigators with the
U.S. Marshals Service’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF)
and the Atlanta Police Department arrested Eric Menefee in Atlanta.
Acting on investigative information developed during the search for
Menefee, U.S. Marshals SERFTF investigators managed to locate him
residing in a shed he had turned into an apartment on the back of an
associate’s property. Menefee, 37, is wanted by the Atlanta Police
Department for two counts of child molestation and two counts of
terroristic threats. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office also had a
warrant for Menefee for failure to register as a sex offender.

May 07, 2008 - On May 6, 2008, investigators with the U.S. Marshal Service's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) apprehended Darick Randolph Jordan at a relative's house in College Park, Georgia. Jordan was wanted by the Douglas County, GA Sheriff's Office for four counts of burglary. Injured after crashing his fleeing vehicle, Jordan had been in Grady Memorial Hospital until he was released without notification to law enforcement.

April 30,
2008 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force arrested Reuben Levy, 35. During the arrest, a USMS
investigator in fear for his life fired at Levy as he was being dragged
through the Rite Aid parking lot by Levy’s vehicle. Levy attempted to flee
using the motor vehicle and led investigators on a short but high speed
chase only to be captured less than 2 miles from the original location.
Levy was located hiding in a shed and was non-compliant at the time of his
arrest.

April 16,
2008 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshal’s Great
Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Cordaro Burrell, 18. Burrell was
the last of three suspects to be captured for the home invasion and murder
of Herman Upshaw, 66 a partially disabled man Atlanta man and the aggravated
assault of an 88 year old woman.

April 15,
2008 - On April 15, 2008, Investigators with the U.S.
Marshal Service’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF)
apprehended Timothy Wayne Garrison, Jr. at a residence in Hapeville,
Georgia. Acting on a investigative leads developed by the U.S. Marshals Gulf
Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) in Birmingham, Alabama, SERFTF
investigators were able to track Garrison to an associate’s house on North
Avenue in Hapeville. Garrison was wanted by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's
Office (TCSO) for Capital Murder.

April 11,
2008 - Deputy U.S.
Marshals from the Southern District of West Virginia and troopers from the
West Virginia State Police arrested Fabian Lee Small, 29, at a residence in
Princeton, West Virginia. Small was wanted by authorities in Habersham
County, GA on the charges of home invasion and aggravated assault for his
alleged participation in a home invasion robbery in which a seventy-nine
year old woman was victimized.

April 09,
2008 - On April 8, 2008, Investigators with the U.S.
Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) working
with the Atlanta Police Department and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office
in Florida located Samuel Jackson Bell. He was arrested after a brief
vehicle pursuit with sheriff’s deputies in Lake City, Florida. Bell is the
prime suspect in the murder of Cathy Denune. Denune, age 44, was shot and
killed this past weekend at an apartment complex at 1000 Collier Road in
Northeast Atlanta.

April 07,
2008 - Members of the
U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested
Eldrin George leaving a hotel in Duluth, Georgia. George was wanted in
connection with the 2007 Christmas day shooting of multiple victims, killing
two. He was also wanted for numerous armed robberies in New Orleans that
occurred before the shooting. George was on active probation in
Louisiana for a previous drug conviction.

13, 2008 - On March 12, 2008, Investigators
with the U.S. Marshals Service working with the Jamaica Constabulary
Force’s Jamaican Fugitive Apprehension Team (JFAT) captured Jillian
Andrea Hill in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Jillian Hill was wanted by
the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for homicide. On April 21, 2007
after 4:00 a.m., Jillian Hill in concert with her half sister,
Sheneka Baker-Sharp, is believed to have killed Ahmad Rashed Hill by
shooting him in the back of the head.

March
11, 2008 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Southeast
Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Brian Shane Powers, 32. During
the arrest a USMS investigator in fear for his life fired at Powers
as he attempted to injure the investigator with a motor vehicle.

February 28, 2008 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Middle District of Florida and
the United States Coast Guard captured Derron Keenan Williams as he
attempted to flee the country.

February 21, 2008 -
Investigators from the U.S.
Marshals, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee
Highway Patrol and the Rutherford County, TN Sheriff’s Department
participated in the fugitive investigation and capture of Jerry
Jones, 51. Additionally, Jones’ daughter Madison Kerr, 4, was
recovered. Jones was originally wanted by Hall County for a bond
violation which was based on an original charge of four counts of
child molestation. Jones, a school teacher, is believed to have
molested several 8 and 9 year old girls. Additionally, Jones was
wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Unlawful Flight to Avoid
Prosecution.

February 14, 2008 - At approximately
7:00 PM last night, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and officers from the DeKalb County
Police Department arrested Darryl Anthony Green, 20, at an apartment
in Decatur, GA. Green was wanted by the Glynn County Police
Department in Brunswick, GA for one count each of aggravated assault
by shooting, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the
commission of a crime, criminal damage to property, criminal attempt
to commit rape, and false imprisonment. He was also wanted by the
United States Air Force for desertion after he absconded from active
duty while serving in an enlisted capacity at the Seymour Johnson
Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.

February 05, 2008 - A
fugitive wanted by Savannah Police Department for Armed Robbery was
arrested by members of Atlanta U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force in Jonesboro, GA. Terrell Mack, 19, was
being sought on two warrants issued in Savannah, Georgia charging
him with two Armed Robberies that occurred on January 13, 2008.

January
10, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals led Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and officers from the LaGrange Police
Department arrested Gary Doniel King, 19, in LaGrange. King was wanted by authorities in the
Dutch colony of the Netherlands Antilles (NA), where he holds dual
citizenship, as a member of a group that committed at least twenty
five armed robberies on the island of St. Maarten from August, 2007
through November, 2007.
- July 27, 2007
- Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service’s Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested Jason Ardis, 27. Ardis was
wanted in New Orleans, LA for Failure to Appear on an Aggravated
Battery Charge and is a person of interest in the Atlanta Police
Investigation of the drive by shooting death of a 9 year old girl in
Southwest Atlanta.

July 21, 2007
- On July 18, 2007,
investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service’s Great Lakes Regional
Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) arrested Eddie Rias, 65. Rias was
wanted for escaping from the Muscogee County, Georgia Public Work
Camp on May 5, 1970. Rias had been serving a five year term for
robbery by intimidation.

June 19, 2007
- Investigators from the U.S.
Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested
Tremaie Pyatt, 24. Pyatt was wanted by the Muscogee County Sheriff’s
Office for the shooting death of an off duty deputy sheriff. Pyatt
also had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, kidnapping and
terroristic threats. On June 17, 2007, Deputy Meredith Rhodes, 27, a
four year veteran of the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, was shot
and killed in Columbus, GA.

June 1, 2007 -
On May 31, 2007, investigators from the U.S.
Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Cobb
County Sheriff’s Office, the Atlanta Police Department and the
Fulton County Police Department arrested Eduardo Vega, 27. Vega was
wanted by the Fulton County Police Department for a carjacking and
shoot out with police that occurred on May 31, 2007.
- May 09, 2007
- Investigators from the U.S.
Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Cobb
County Sheriff’s Office and the Atlanta Police Department arrested
Brandon Rozier, 24. Rozier was wanted by Houston County for armed
robbery. On May 3, 2007, investigators believe that Rozier
pistol whipped an employee during an armed robbery in Houston
County, GA.

March 29,
2007 - Robert Bernard Bush, 24, was captured by members of the
U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Atlanta
Police Department. Bush was wanted by the Atlanta Police Department and
Dekalb County for Trafficking Cocaine, Possession With Intent To
Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of A
Crime, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer.

February 13, 2007 - At approximately 7:30pm on February 13,
2007, Derrest Jones, 28, was captured by members of the U.S.
Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Atlanta
Police Department. Jones was wanted by the Atlanta Police Department
for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer.

February 13, 2007 - At approximately 12:15pm on February 13,
2007, Carletha Simmons was captured by members of the U.S. Marshal’s
Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Simmons was wanted by the
Charleston, SC Police Department for the December 23, 2006 murder of
William Ayers.

January 12, 2007
- At approximately 5:45pm on
January 12, 2007, Tywan Lamont Williams was captured by members of
the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the
Cobb County Police Department. Williams is wanted in Durham, NC for
a 1997 murder and by the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department for a
felony probation violation.

December 17,
2006 -
Ramondez
Lamon Rivera, 28, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal’s
Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and the Douglas
County (GA) Sheriff’s Department at approximately on
Friday, December 15. Rivera, of Douglasville, GA, has been charged
with murder in connection with the death of Kwana Burns, 28, who was
killed in Anderson, SC, on December 14.

November 14,
2006 - A violent fugitive, wanted on outstanding Fulton
County charges for aggravated assault on an officer with a firearm,
was arrested by investigators from the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast
Regional Fugitive Task Force. Investigators believe that on the
night of October 14, 2006, Derrico Lamar Thomas, 23, fired a handgun
into the back of a Fulton County Deputy Sheriff.

September 29, 2006 - This afternoon, a violent fugitive,
wanted on for the attempted murder of a police officer was arrested
by investigators from the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive
Task Force. Investigators believe that Mario Woodward, 32, shot a
Montgomery Police Officer Keith Houts five times during a routine
traffic stop. Several of the shots are believed to have been fired
after the officer was already down.
