  • November 13, 2009 - Friday the thirteenth has proved to be a very unlucky day for a Madison County jail escapee and an 18 year old associate. On November 4, 2009, Benjamin Justin Jones escaped as he was being booked into the Madison County on federal charges of providing false information to a United States Forest Service Officer.
  • January 09, 2009 - Members of the United States Marshals Service Hornet’s Nest Fugitive Task Force arrested Alex Zavala-Morales, 48, in Charlotte on January 08, 2009 for four counts of third degree rape and endangering the welfare of a 15 year old girl.
  • July 16, 2008 - Deputy United States Marshals from the Western District of North Carolina and the United States Marshals sponsored Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force combined their efforts to capture Cleveland County escapee Chavis Leon Hargro. Hargro, 28, was indicted on June 4, 2008 in the Western District of North Carolina for his alleged involvement in a cocaine conspiracy.
  • February 06, 2008 - The reputed head of a North Charlotte drug distribution organization was apprehended early this morning in New York. Twenty-nine year old Roscoe Abell was indicted in early 2007 in connection with an organized gang distributing drugs in the Hidden Valley area of Charlotte. He was also wanted on outstanding federal warrants for violating supervised release stemming from a previous conviction.
