United States Marshal David L. Cargill Jr.
In November 2009, David L. Cargill, Jr., 57, was named the United
States Marshal for the District of New Hampshire. Prior to his
nomination, Marshal Cargill served a long and distinguished career
with the New Hampshire State Police. Marshal Cargill retired from
the NH State Police in October, 2009 holding the rank of
Lieutenant. While with the State Police, Marshal Cargill served as
the commander of the New Hampshire State Police Terrorism and
Intelligence Unit. U.S. Marshal Cargill began his lengthy career in
law enforcement in 1984 as a police officer with the Hampton, NH
Police Department, a position he held until he was hired as a
trooper with the New Hampshire State Police in 1986. Marshal Cargill
is also a 2007 graduate of Granite State College with a Bachelor’s
of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management.
