| Local News: October 1, 2009 - Astoria, OR- Yesterday at 12:50 PM, William Carl Welsh, a 55 year old white male, was arrested by Belize Authorities in Belize, Central America at the request of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF). Welsh was arrested at a local casino not far from the motel in which he had been residing. Welsh has a number of convictions ranging from Sodomy I, Sex Abuse I, to Displaying Child Sexual Conduct. These convictions classify Welsh as a Predatory Sex Offender by the State of Oregon. The warrant is a State of Oregon Parole Violation out of Astoria and Clatsop County and is the result of information that Welsh had fled the country. Read More | |
