October 1, 2009 - Astoria, OR- Yesterday at 12:50 PM, William Carl Welsh, a 55 year old white male, was arrested by Belize Authorities in Belize, Central America at the request of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF).  Welsh was arrested at a local casino not far from the motel in which he had been residing.  Welsh has a number of convictions ranging from Sodomy I, Sex Abuse I, to Displaying Child Sexual Conduct.  These convictions classify Welsh as a Predatory Sex Offender by the State of Oregon.  The warrant is a State of Oregon Parole Violation out of Astoria and Clatsop County and is the result of information that Welsh had fled the country.

September 22, 2009 -Portland, OR - September 15, 2009 Governor Theodore R. Kulongoski signed a Proclamation proclaiming September 24th to be "U.S. Marshals Day" in Oregon and encouraged all Oregonians to join in this observance.

September 18, 2009 - Bend, OR - Last night at 11:30 PM, John Calvin Hudson III, a 43 year old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) at the Westward Ho Hotel.  Hudson is charged with 20 counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the first degree and 20 counts of Encouraging  Child Sex Abuse in the second degree.  Hudson has been missing since these charges were filed in Coos County.  The charges arise out of an Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation during which Hudson was found with computers containing numerous pornographic photos of minors.

June 30, 2009 - Gresham, OR - Today at 12:30 PM, Shawn Michael Montgomery, a 28 year old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) at the Townfair Apartments on Northwest Wallula Ave.

May 29, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) houses its prisoners in the Federal Bureau of Prisons Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Sheridan, Oregon as well as 16 local jails throughout the state of Oregon.  The USMS enters into Intergovernmental Agreements (IGA) with these local jail facilities to compensate them for all costs associated with housing federal prisoners.

April 10, 2009 - Salem, OR - This morning at 9:30 AM, JOSE GABRIOLA-PENA, a 52 year old Hispanic male and citizen of Mexico, was arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals from the Oregon Fugitive Task Force at his residence on 1760 "C" Street NE in Salem, Oregon.

February 17, 2009 - Portland OR – Today at 11:30 AM, Ian Gregory Thow, a 48 year old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF).  Marshals located Thow at the Edge Loft Condominiums on Northwest Kearney Street in Portland.  The OFTF, in conjunction with Seattle Marshals, developed information that Thow was hiding out in the Portland area.  Thow had previously been living in Washington until he learned he was wanted by Interpol and Canadian authorities.  The OFTF set up surveillance at several suspected locations until Thow exited the Edge Loft Condominiums to go jogging.  Thow was taken into custody without incident.

January 7, 2009 - Hayward, CA- Yesterday afternoon at 2:00 PM, Latwan Brown, a 30 year old black male was arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals from the Northern District of California at his mother’s residence on West Industrial Boulevard in Hayward, California.

November 8, 2008 - Portland, OR - Last night at 8:45 pm, Brandy Lynn Baggett, a 20 year old white female, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) at the Lloyd Center Mall at 2201 Lloyd Center.

September 27, 008 - Portland, OR - This morning at 4:00 AM, James Joseph Bennett, a 50 year old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) at the Econolodge on NE Sandy Blvd.

September 20, 2008 - Eugene, OR - Larry Rich is described as a white male, 42 years-old, 6'2", and 185lbs.  Rich was arrested without incident on September 20th, at 12:30 AM, by the Seattle Police Department.

August 20, 2008 - Gresham OR- This morning at 8:00 AM, Shawn Scott Lockamy, a 25 year old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF).  Marshals located Lockamy at the Townfair Apartments on Northwest Wallula Ave.

June 30, 2008 - Portland, OR- The U.S. Marshals Service Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) coordinated the efforts of local, state and federal law enforcement for a four-day fugitive apprehension effort last week, June 24-27.  FALCON, the acronym for Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally, soared into the Tri County Metro area and reached all the way to Umatilla County.  FALCON 2008 was the shortest week as compared to previous FALCON missions but it packed a punch with 93 total arrests and 122 warrants cleared (some offenders had multiple warrants).  Also seized, incident to arrest, were seven firearms (3 rifles & 4 handguns), a 48 Marijuana plant grow, one pound of dried marijuana, four ounces of methamphetamine and two vehicles.

April 2, 2008 - Florence, OR- On April 2, 2008, the United States Marshals Service (USMS), Oregon Fugitive Task Force, arrested RONALD GREEN, a white male, 45 years of age and former Veneta, OR resident, for Escape From Federal Custody. Green was arrested today in Florence, Oregon at a private residence on Skunkhollow Rd.  At the time of his escape, Green was in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons and was serving out a sentence for a 2002 federal bank robbery conviction in Portland, OR.

February 25, 2008 - Harvest, AL- United States Marshals Service (USMS), Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (RFTF), arrested David McFarland, a white male, 29 years of age, for a violation of supervised release.  McFarland was under federal supervision out of Medford, Oregon for a felony conviction on a weapons offense. 

February 25, 2008 - Portland, OR- Yesterday afternoon at 4:30 PM, Sean Ivan Detrick, a 37 year-old white maile, was arrested in Sellwood Park by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force.  At the time of the arrest, Detrick was sitting in a parked Chrysler Sebring along with Lisa Ann Myers.  Sellwood Park is located a few blocks away from Myers residence.  Detrick was arrested on a warrant for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle (UUMV) and was also charged with Robbery I, and Kidnapping stemming from an earlier incident involving an alleged robbery at knifepoint.  Meyers was arrested on a state Probation Violation.
