May 21, 2013 - Pittsburgh homicide suspect Michael Lyons was apprehended by members of the United States Marshals Service Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and Pittsburgh Police. Lyons was charged by the Pittsburgh Police Department with Criminal Homicide and Carrying a Firearm without a License.

March 28, 2013McKeesport Homicide suspect Mark Leonard was apprehended hiding in the basement of a residence in Wilkinsburg, PA. He was found trying to secrete himself above furnace duct work to evade capture when U.S. Marshals discovered him and affected his arrest with assistance from the Wilkinsburg Police Department.

March 05, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force (WPAFTF) announces the arrest of fugitive Carl Henderson (AKA: “Trigger”). Henderson, of North Braddock, PA, was wanted by Allegheny County Police on charges of Criminal Attempt-Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering another Person and Possession of a Firearm.

February 11, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Steve Frank announces the arrest of Pittsburgh Police homicide suspect Tyqwan Brooks, who was taken into custody in Antioch, TN. Brooks had been wanted for the murder of a Pittsburgh man and evaded arrest since September.

January 17, 2013 - Julian L. Sims, the suspect in a New Year’s Eve shooting that injured four people when he allegedly crashed a party in McKeesport, has been arrested by Task Force Officers. Allegheny County police issued a warrant for Julian Sims on charges of criminal attempt homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of recklessly endangering others and firearms violations.

January 07, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force assisted by officers from the Erie Bureau of Police arrested James Gates III. Gates was taken into custody in Erie, PA. Gates is believed to be a member of the “Stick Up Kidz” in Erie. Several members are alleged to have committed home invasion robberies and burglaries in the Erie County area. Gates is wanted on charges of Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Corrupt Organizations, Criminal Conspiracy to a Corrupt Organization, Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Conspiracy to Commit Theft by Deception.

December 19, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Steve Frank announces the arrest of George Johnson, a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Pittsburgh on October 15, 2012. Johnson was arrested by U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force officers accompanied by Wilkinsburg Police and Allegheny County Adult Probation Officers. Johnson had been charged by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police on October 18, 2012 with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering another Person and firearms offenses.

November 28, 2012 - Pittsburgh homicide suspect, Jarrell Anthony Liddell, was arrested in Tucson, Arizona today according to the U.S. Marshal’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Deputies with the U.S. Marshal’s Office were able to develop leads that indicated that Liddell may be residing in Arizona under his brother’s identity.

November 20, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Steve Frank announces the arrest of Squirrel Hill bank robbery suspect Joseph Francis Guiney. Guiney was arrested this morning by the United States Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force (WPAFTF).

November 14, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, New Orleans Division, apprehended Jonathan William Beal, a fugitive on the run from the state of Pennsylvania. Beal was wanted by the Pennsylvania State Police, Somerset County, for criminal homicide.

April 16, 2009 - In the early evening hours of Tuesday, April 14, 2009, members of the United States Marshals’ Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested fugitive Nelson Guajardo in the parking lot of the Spring Hills Suites motel in Pittsburg, PA. Guajardo was wanted by authorities in Clayton County, Georgia for numerous charges including Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.
