Task Force Name: Operation Intercept
 
Purpose: Operation Intercept targets federal, state and local fugitives.
 
Participants: Operation Intercept was formed in 1986 and is one of the oldest Marshals Service task forces. It is comprised of Deputy United States Marshals, officers from the United States Probation Office, agents from the State Law Enforcement Division, Columbia Police investigators, Greenville County Sheriff’s investigators, Darlington County Sheriff’s investigators, Dillon County Sheriff’s investigators, Richland County Sheriff’s investigators, Sumter City investigators, Spartanburg County Sheriff's investigators and agents from the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.
