September 29,
2008 - In October of
2007, the U.S. Marshals Service was asked for assistance in
locating and apprehending fugitives Eileen and Perry Sharp. In
August of 2006, the FBI obtained an Unlawful Flight to Avoid
Prosecution warrant for the Sharps based on felony warrants in
the non-custodial abduction of Shanae Peterson. On Monday,
September 29, 2008, positive identification was made and Perry
and Eileen Sharp were arrested without incident.

- Deputy Marshals from South Dakota, Yankton County Sheriff’s
Deputies and Yankton Police Department arrested an Arkansas man
in Yankton after a manhunt that began in February 2008, shortly
after subject faked his own drowning. Matthew Alan
Sheppard, 42, of Searcy, AK, was arrested on a warrant out of
Arkansas for felony Fraud and Embezzlement, after receiving a
tip from the U. S. Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive
Task Force that Sheppard may be hiding in the area.

Deputy Marshals from South Dakota, Northern Iowa and Eastern Texas,
along with Minnehaha County and Lincoln County sheriffs’ deputies
from the Sioux Falls Area Violent Offenders Task Force, arrested a
Texas man in Tea, SD after an intensive manhunt. Preston Dwayne Hightower, 38 of Sherman, TX was
arrested on a U S Marshals warrant out of Eastern Texas for Unlawful
Flight to Avoid Prosecution and immediately turned over to the state
warrant out of Sherman TX for absconding from a 60-year sentence on
three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

Brandon Theodore James (36),
a major case fugitive wanted on outstanding federal charges of
Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution and several state charges
including 3rd Degree Rape, was apprehended on May 22nd, 2007 in
Marina Del Ray, California. James had been on the run for more
than 3 years when he was captured by the United States Marshals
Service led Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.
- April
17, 2007 - Fugitive, Daniel Davis, wanted on major narcotics
charges since 1998 has been captured in Venezuela and returned to South
Dakota. Davis was being sought on both state and federal drug
charges stemming from 1998 federal indictment for Conspiracy to
Distribute Methamphetamines and Marijuana.

April 05, 2007 - Fugitive Lyle Kenneth Youngman, a.k.a. Ken Youngman,
a fugitive wanted on outstanding Federal Charges of Supervised
Release Violations was apprehended early Thursday, April 5th
in Rapid City, South Dakota by the
Black Hills Fugitive Task Force.

Fugitive Wanted on Federal Escape Charges and
Assaulting a South Dakota HP Officer arrested by U S
Marshals Service and Rapid City Police Officers.
