Prisoner Detention
All federal prisoners will be housed in a county jail which best accommodates the Marshals Service’s needs. This may not necessarily be the county in which they were arrested nor the county in which the prisoner’s family may reside. For questions concerning any new arrest which occurred in Laramie County, Albany County, Goshen County, or Platte County, please contact the Supervisory Deputy in Cheyenne. For questions concerning a new arrest in any other county in Wyoming, please contact the Supervisory Deputy in Casper.

Visitation of a federal prisoner while he/she is at any U.S. Marshals’ cellblock is not authorized. Prisoner visitation may only occur at the county jail in which the prisoner is housed. Please call the appropriate county jail in which the prisoner is being housed in order to get the hours of visitation.
