U.S. Marshals Capture Child Porn Suspect in Louisiana

Martin Lyle Christianson (Captured)Terrytown, LA – The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF), working in conjunction with investigators from the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Pensacola, FL arrested a Florida man sought on multiple felony counts of possessing Child Pornography while living in the Pensacola area. Martin Lyle Christianson, aka ‘Robert Allen’ of Cantonment, FL is wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office for possessing images of child pornography, including images of child molestation. At about 6:30 a.m. the U.S. Marshals GCRFTF arrested Christianson without incident at a home on the 500 Block of Delmar Street in Terrytown which is located outside of Gretna, LA. It is unknown how Christianson is connected to the residents at that home.

Task Force investigators from the FRFTF were working on leads late yesterday with investigators from the Florida Attorney General’s Office who is leading the criminal investigation on the porn charges. The investigation started to point toward the Louisiana area when they narrowed it down to the Terrytown address early Saturday morning. The FRFTF then contacted the USMS Task Force in New Orleans who immediately jumped on the lead and quickly apprehended Christianson.

The warrant which was issued earlier this week charges Christianson, 58, with 20 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Each count holds a $50,000 bond setting his total bond at $1,000,000. Christianson is also wanted in Santa Ana, CA on a four-year-old warrant for Commercial Sex charges. Investigators believed that Christianson fled the Pensacola area earlier this week when an old ice cream truck that he was driving was found abandoned in Mobile, AL. Christianson is in the Jefferson Parish Corrections Center in Louisiana awaiting his extradition back to Escambia County, FL.
