| U.S. Marshals Task Force Arrests Most Wanted "Dangerous Dozen" Fugitive |
|
Just this week, Blachowski was placed on the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s most wanted “Dangerous Dozen” and yesterday the Mansfield News Journal ran an article on Blachowski. As a result of the wanted article the Task Force received numerous tips concerning Blachowski’s whereabouts. Several tips led investigators to Cambridge, Ohio where the investigation led to a family member’s residence on the 1300 block of Elm Street. Members of the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team contacted the Cambridge Police Department and officers were able to locate and arrest Blachowski, who was then transported to the Guernsey County jail to await extradition back to Richland County. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “This is another fine example of the great results that we get from the response of the community when the media assists us with publicizing these most wanted fugitives. The citizens of Richland County have truly been instrumental in many of our captures.”
