On January 6, 2012, shortly after noon, SOFAST received a tip that Carver could be located at a residence on South Torrence Street in Dayton, OH. After confirming the information, the SOFAST members quickly arrived on South Torrence Street and apprehend Carver. By approximately 12:45pm he was in handcuffs and on his way to the Montgomery County Jail in Dayton.

Carver is believed to have been living in the Dayton area since shortly after the warrants in South Carolina were issued for his arrest. Carver was arrested without incident and awaits extradition to South Carolina. At the time of his arrest, Carver remarked that he was tired of running and had originally moved to Dayton to hide after throwing a dart at a map. U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones said, “this arrest is a perfect example of how quickly our task force can react and apprehend those found hiding in the Dayton area.”
