U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspected Murderer

Jackson, MS U.S. Marshal George White, Southern District of Mississippi, announces the arrest of Randall Thomas Beaty, age 27, wanted by the Hendersonville, TN, Police Department for 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Child Abuse (Age 8 and Under). Beaty was indicted by a Grand Jury in Sumner County, TN, in February of 2012 for the instant charges. Investigation revealed that Beaty may be in the Brookhaven, MS, area and the U. S. Marshals fugitive task force was asked to assist in the apprehension. Beaty was located at a relative’s residence on Elbert Lane in Brookhaven, living in a travel trailer on the property. Beaty was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center to await extradition proceedings.

“The apprehension of violent fugitives from our streets is the main priority of our fugitive task forces,” stated U. S. Marshal White, “We will continue to work closely with our state and local partners to ensure these types of criminals face justice.”

The Jackson office of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force consists of investigators from the U. S. Marshals Service, Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Mississippi Department of Corrections, Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, and the Jackson Police Department. In FY 2011, the task force made over 500 arrests and cleared over 700 felony warrants. Nationwide, Marshals-led district task forces arrested 86,400 state and local fugitives in FY 2011, clearing approximately 113,300 state and local felony warrants.
