| U.S. Marshals Track Down Cleveland Murder Suspects in Houston, TX |
|
Two weeks ago, the Cleveland Division of Police requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Task Force to locate McAlpine and Greene. The NOVFTF developed information that McAlpine and Greene had fled the area and headed down to Texas. The investigation further discovered that the pair was possibly staying at America’s Inn in Houston, TX. The NOVFTF called on the GCVOFTF for help in apprehending the fugitives. Surveillance was set up around the hotel and a male fitting the description of McAlpine was seen entering a room at the hotel. Task Force Members approached the room and made entry and located McAlpine and Greene inside the room. Both were arrested without incident and are currently being held at the Harris County Jail in Texas pending extradition back to Cleveland. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “We are relieved to have these two dangerous fugitives safely in custody and bring some peace to the families and friends of the victims. All of our resources were poured into this investigation and it was great work by our investigators as well as our counterparts in Houston.”
