HOW TO BECOME A DEPUTY
U.S. MARSHAL To become a Deputy
U.S. Marshal, you have to pass a
written test and do a great job on a personal interview.
Study hard. Practice
your interviewing skills by telling a friend or member of your family why you
want to be a Deputy U.S. Marshal.
Then, you must meet the
following rules:
- be a U.S. citizen, be between the ages of 21 and 36, be in excellent physical condition,
- have a 4 year college
degree or 3 years of experience, or you must have enough college and
experience together;
- have drivers license
and a good driving record,
- permit
a background investigation,
- go through a tough basic training program at the U.S. Marshals Service Training Academy in Glynco, GA.
To be a Deputy U.S. Marshal, you
must be in very good
physical shape. You must be able to hear well and see
well. Exercise, eat well and do not smoke or take illegal drugs!!!
