WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General Janet Reno will participate in a public safety symposium in Philadelphia on Thursday, November 18, 1999, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This meeting is one of several regional meetings on corporate-community coalitions for public safety. This symposium, which will focus on metropolitan Philadelphia, will promote public safety coalitions between business, law enforcement, and community organizations.
Joining the Attorney General at this event will be Michael Stiles, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; Edward Rendell, Mayor of Philadelphia; John Timoney, Police Commissioner, Dr. Judith Rodin, President of the University of Pennsylvania; Charles Pizzi, President of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; Richard Smoot, President and CEO of PNC Bank; and Sister Carol Keck, Director of Project HOME.
