ATTORNEY GENERAL RENO AND SECRETARY SHALALA TO RECEIVE REPORT
ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN FROM
NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General Janet Reno and Secretary of Health and Human Services, Donna E. Shalala will meet with the National Advisory Council on Violence Against Women on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. The Advisory Council will present their National Agenda on Violence Against Women to the Attorney General and the Secretary for their review and consideration.
On Thursday, July 13, 1995, Attorney General Janet Reno and Health and Human Services Secretary Donna E. Shalala announced the creation of a National Advisory Council on Violence Against Women to help coordinate efforts to fight violence against women across America, assist victims, and advise the federal government on what various communities can do to end violence against women.
