ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL R. ALEXANDER ACOSTA TO DELIVER REMARKS REGARDING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division R. Alexander Acosta will hold a press conference TODAY, OCTOBER 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. EST to announce a settlement agreement with Vanguard Rental Car USA, owners and operators of the Alamo and National car rental companies. Vanguard Chief Operating Officer Jeffry J. Parell will join Mr. Acosta. A demonstration regarding accessible shuttle vehicles will follow the press conference.
