ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT TO PARTICIPATE IN 50TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION OF BROWN V. BOARD OF EDUCATION
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Attorney General John Ashcroft will participate in the Justice Department’s 50th Anniversary Commemoration of Brown v. Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court decision that outlawed segregated public school facilities, TOMORROW, MAY 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. He will be joined by Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division R. Alexander Acosta, Congressman Artur Davis of the 7th District of Alabama and Rear Admiral Barry C. Black (Ret.), 62nd Chaplain of the United States Senate.
