The U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Michigan, employs about 100 individuals in a variety of clerical, technical, and administrative support positions. The most frequently filled jobs are Legal Assistant and Paralegal Specialist. Opportunities are also periodically available in administrative fields such as human resources, budget/accounting, information technology, acquisition services, etc.

The office employs a limited number of individuals under the Federal government's Student Employment Program and Career Experience Program. Opportunities are best for college students who are interested in working at the U.S. Attorney's Office for a period of at least a year.

The office also hosts individuals under the Student Volunteer Program, which allow students to work in unpaid positions for academic credit.
