Omaha Man Sentenced to 30 Years Imprisonment on Firearm Charges

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Ranelle Perry of Omaha was sentenced on July 14, 2014, to 30 years in prison by United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp. Perry had previously pled guilty to using a firearm during, and in relation to, a drug trafficking crime.
 
In October 2013, Perry was arrested in a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program (HIDTA) sponsored law enforcement initiative that targeted gang violence in Omaha.  During the joint investigation between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Omaha Police Department, Perry sold two rifles, two handguns, and 8 grams of crack cocaine to a felon who was working with law enforcement as a cooperating witness.    

This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Omaha Police Department.
