anchorage drug dealer receives 48-month sentence in federal prison for selling methamphetamine
Anchorage, Alaska – Acting United States Attorney Kevin Feldis announced today that an Anchorage man was sentenced in federal court in Anchorage to 48 months in prison for his conviction of conspiracy in relation to controlled substance trafficking.
On September 9, 2011, Eric Allen Graham, 37, a resident of Anchorage, Alaska, was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge H. Russel Holland.
According to Special Assistant United States Attorney Erin White, who prosecuted the case, Graham conspired with others to sell pure methamphetamine. Graham has a lengthy criminal history and was recently released from custody on drug charges brought in state court. The charges in state court involved the possession of methamphetamine and a substantial amount of cash.
In fashioning a sentence, Judge Holland noted the serious nature of Graham’s crime, as he contributed to the availability of illegal controlled substances in the community.
Mr. Feldis commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Anchorage Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Graham. Ms. White is a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office who is funded by the Municipality of Anchorage for the purpose of prosecuting gang-related and violent crime cases.
