                            GADSDEN MAN INDICTED BY FEDERAL GRAND JURY FOR BANK ROBBERY

            BIRMINGHAM, AL - United States Attorney Joyce White Vance of the Northern District of Alabama and, Charles E. Regan, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today that QUINTIN RICARDO JENKINS has been indicted by a federal grand jury for bank robbery.

            Jenkins, 45, of Gadsden, Alabama was charged in a one-count indictment filed today at U. S. District Court in Birmingham.

            The indictment charges Jenkins robbed the Colonial Bank in Gadsden, Alabama on June 15, 2009.

            The maximum sentence for bank robbery is twenty-five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

            “Those who wish to rob banks should be willing to pay the consequences for their crimes.  The FBI will continue to ensure that they do,”stated Charles E. Regan, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation.  

                        This case was investigated by Special Agents of the of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in conjunction with the City of Gadsden Police Department.  The case will be prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney David Biggers, Jr.
