24 YEAR OLD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
BIRMINGHAM, AL - JULIUS W. PULLEN, III, plead guilty to possession of child pornography in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
According to the Plea Agreement, Jason W. Pullen, III, knowingly possessed images of child pornography in Talladega County, Alabama, within the Northern District of Alabama. A search of the defendant's computer hard drive revealed more than 600 images of child pornography.
United States Attorney Joyce White Vance said, “we take a hard line approach to the prosecution of these cases, knowing that it is important to put a stop to the victimization of the children who are abused to create viewing material for individuals like this defendant.”
The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Roanoke, Alabama, Police Department, and the Regional Organized Crime Information Center in Tennessee. Assistant United States Attorney Daniel J. Fortune prosecuted the matter on behalf of the U.S. Government.
This case was brought as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, which prosecutes individuals who possess and distribute child pornography. Led by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices nationwide, Project Safe Childhood, marshals, federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as identify and rescue victims.
