TUSCALOOSA COUPLE FOUND GUILTY FOR PRODUCING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
BIRMINGHAM, AL - ROBERT EDWARD FEE, 54 and RHONDA MICHELLE FEE, 41, husband and wife, have been found guilty today in United States District Court in Tuscaloosa. United States Attorney Alice H. Martin of the Northern District of Alabama and Charles Regan, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, announce today that the FEEs were found guilty on all 9 counts previously charged in an indictment filed in January, 2009.
The FEES were found guilty of producing Polaroid photographs of a minor child with cerebral palsy. For Counts 1-8, the FEES fact 15 to 30 years in prison with a $250,000 fine. The maximum sentence for Count 9 is ten years with a $250,000 fine. They were taken into custody after the jury’s verdict was announced. Sentencing has not yet been set.
“I am pleased with the jury’s verdict and that the Fee’s will be punished for this most heinous crime. Any child being victimized is heartbreaking, but the fact that someone would take advantage of a child with a disability is unconscionable,” stated U.S. Attorney Alice H. Martin.
“Our office is also very pleased with the jury’s verdict, and we will continue to diligently work to investigate those who victimize children, who are the most innocent victims,” stated Charles Regan, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Special Agents of the FBI and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department worked together in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Assistant United States Attorneys Laura D. Hodge and Beau Brown prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.
