BIRMINGHAM -DAVID LEE HINDS, 58, pleaded guilty Tuesday to receiving and possessing at least 600 images of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance announced.

According to the indictment and plea agreement, between July 1, 2008, and Feb. 25, 2009, in Madison County, HINDS used the internet to receive images of child pornography and possessed a computer disk and computer hard-drive that contained child pornography. HINDS is scheduled to be sentenced in March 2010.

The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel J.
