U.S. ATTORNEY JOYCE WHITE VANCE AND ASSISTANT U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL THOMAS E. PEREZ TO ANNOUNCE NEW CIVIL RIGHTS ENFORCEMENT UNIT IN NORTHERN DISTRICT OF ALABAMA


BIRMINGHAM – Joyce White Vance, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, and Thomas E. Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, will hold a press conference on TUESDAY, AUG. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute to announce the formation of a Civil Rights Enforcement Unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The unit will focus on civil and criminal civil rights enforcement.
