EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: SEBASTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WILL HOST FREE TRAINING SEMINAR ON PREVENTING AND RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES IN SCHOOLS ON FEBRUARY 20, 2013

Fort Smith, Arkansas - Conner Eldridge, United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, and Bill Hollenbeck, Sebastian County Sheriff, announced that the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office is hosting Preparing Your School for a Crisis, a free training seminar on preventing and responding to emergencies in schools. The seminar will be given in conjunction with the Criminal Justice Institute, Safe Schools Initiative, and the Western District of Arkansas Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council. It will be held at the Fort Smith Convention Center on February 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is open to all law enforcement, school administrators, and school security personnel. Law enforcement agencies and school administrators from Oklahoma are also welcome to attend. The training is ACE and CLEST certified for Arkansas.
