U.S. ATTORNEY TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE FOLLOWING LOUGHNER SENTENCING PROCEEDINGS

U.S. Attorney, FBI Special Agent in Charge, and Victims Will Make Remarks

TUCSON, Ariz. – Members of the press are invited to the press event being held at the Evo A. DeConcini U.S. Courthouse. Cameras will be allowed in the courthouse immediately following the conclusion of the sentencing proceedings in USA v. Loughner, through the conclusion of the press conference. Cameras will be restricted to the Jury Assembly Room. Members of the press are subject to full screening.

NOTE REGARDING COURTROOM SEATING AND DEMEANOR:  By order of the United States Marshal for the District of Arizona, the courtroom will open to members of the media at approximately 9:45 am. Seating for media in the courtroom is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There will be seating available in the overflow room located in the Jury Assembly Room on the first floor. The Court has authorized the use of texting, emailing, tweeting and other electronic messaging in the courtroom and overflow room as long as it does not interfere with court proceedings. Photography is strictly prohibited as well as any recording or live streaming within the courthouse.
