                SACRAMENTO, Calif.– United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced today that Deanijiniqe Cail, 23; Christian Demitris Dotson, 20, and Veraniquie Wallace, 40, all from Sacramento, entered pleas of guilty to a federal indictment charging them with sex trafficking of a minor.  According to court documents, in June, 2010, Dotson approached a 14 year old acquaintance and asked her to be a prostitute.  Dotson took sexually explicit photographs of the girl which Cail and Wallace posted on the internet, advertising her for prostitution.  On June 23, 2010, law enforcement officers discovered the internet advertisement and were able to rescue the girl at a motel in Sacramento.

                This case is the product of an extensive investigation by the Sacramento Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working together as part of the FBI’s Innocence Lost Task Force.   Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn K. Delaney is prosecuting the case.

                Cail and Dotson are scheduled to be sentenced by United States District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller on August 25, 2011; Wallace is scheduled to be sentenced on September 1, 2011 .

                The maximum statutory penalty for sex trafficking of a minor  is life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime term of supervised release.  The actual sentence, however, will be determined at the discretion of the court after consideration of any applicable statutory factors and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, which take into account a number of variables.
