Sacramento Man Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison for Possession of Stolen U.s. Mail

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced that today United States District Court Judge Morrison C. England, Jr. sentenced Kevin Duane Hickman, 34, of Sacramento, to three years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release for possession of stolen U.S. Mail.
This case was the product of an investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service with the cooperation of the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rodriguez prosecuted the case.
According to court documents, on February 18, 2010, Hickman was found to be in possession of U.S. Mail that had been stolen from more than 35 victims. Hickman was remanded into federal custody after the sentencing hearing.
