Docket #: 2:11-cr-304-WBS

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced that on Wednesday, a federal grand jury returned a six-count indictment charging Natanael Faustino, 28, of Patterson, with two counts of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of being an undocumented alien in possession of a firearm, one count of dealing firearms without a license, and one count of being in possession of an unregistered short-barrel shotgun.

This case is the product of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Paul Hemesath is prosecuting the case

If convicted, Faustino faces a maximum statutory penalty of life in prison. The actual sentence, however, will be determined at the discretion of the court after consideration of any applicable statutory factors and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, which take into account a number of variables.

The charges are only allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
