FRESNO, Calif.-- United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced today that United States District Judge Anthony W. Ishii sentenced Alfredo Quevedo-Rincon, 50, of Tulare, to nine years in prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

This case was the product of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Kimberly A. Sanchez prosecuted the case.

According to court documents, on May 25, 2010, DEA served a search warrant at the defendant’s residence and found approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine.  During his change of plea proceeding, Quevedo-Rincon admitted he possessed the methamphetamine for sale.
