FRESNO, Calif. — United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced that Chief United States District Judge Anthony W. Ishii sentenced Augustine Reyna, 31, of Selma, today to nine years in prison, to be followed by four years of supervised release, for selling methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Reyna and others were charged in a long-term conspiracy to supply drugs to gang members in Fresno County. He pleaded guilty in November 2011 to distributing methamphetamine.

In March 2011, co-defendant Ribhi Fadel Abdel Fattah, aka Ribhi Fadel Abdelfattah, aka Henry Fattah, aka Hank Fattah, 33, of Kingsburg, was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison for the conspiracy.

Charges are still pending against the other co-defendants: Edwan Dablan, 36, of Kingsburg; his brother, Khamal Dablan, 24, of Selma; Manuel Vasquez, 30, a Fresno bail bondsman from Selma; and Naser Hajjaj, 28, of Dinuba. The Dablan brothers and Manuel Vasquez have been held in custody as dangers to the community following their arrests nearly two years ago and are next scheduled to appear in federal court on March 5, 2012 for a status conference. Hajjaj is a fugitive. The charges against them are only allegations and they are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

This case is a product of an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the IRS Criminal Investigation, and the Fresno Methamphetamine Task Force (FMTF). The FMTF is a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) initiative with law enforcement agents from the DEA, the FBI, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the Fresno Police Department, the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (BNE), the California Highway Patrol, and the HIDTA Investigative Support Center. Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen A. Escobar is prosecuting the case.
