Patterson Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Trafficking and Illegal Firearm

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb sentenced Natanael Faustino-Juarez, 30, of Patterson, to 12 years in prison for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute it and being in possession of an illegal short-barrel shotgun, announced United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner.
This case was the product of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul A. Hemesath prosecuted the case.
According to court documents, from April to July 2011, Faustino was the subject of seven controlled buys for methamphetamine and firearms. When agents arrested him on July 8, 2011, he was in possession of two pounds of methamphetamine and 11 firearms. One of the firearms was a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun that was not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
